Despite some epic breakups -- looking at you, Jelena and Wiz and Amber, 2014 still had a whole lotta love.

But we aren't just talking lovey-dovey couples. We're looking back at all of the twosomes who kept love in all of its forms alive in 2014. From BFFs to pets, to beloved articles of clothing and everything in between, here's a look at our 12 favorite couples of 2014.

Taylor Swift and Everyone

There were just too many BFF moments that Taylor Swift had this year that we couldn't pick just one. Her oh-so-adorable dancing with Lorde at award shows, her road trip with Karlie Kloss, her undying friendship with Selena Gomez and her secret sessions with her fans. Taylor Swift is seriously the best bestie ever.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas

We are fully aware that these two have very adorable, and very serious, significant others, but Nick and Demi were the perfect couple this year, musically speaking. Nick was the creative director on her Neon Lights tour, then they gave us musical perfection with "Avalanche" with a promise of another song in the future. Can you two please start that band already?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Kimye accomplished a lot in 2014. They graced the cover of Vogue (finally!), Kim broke the Internet with her naked photos, and Kanye went on the road for his Yeezus tour. Oh, and in between all that they solidified their love with the most glamorous wedding of all time.

Ariana Grande and Big Sean

Ariana and Big Sean tried their hardest to keep their romance under wraps, but after we caught them holding hands at the VMAs in August and kissing on a ride at Universal Studios in October, they decided to make it official with this kissy pic, and we couldn't be more excited for them.

Katy Perry and Pizza

Sure she dated John Mayer and may or may not be in a relationship with Diplo, but Katy Perry most proudly displayed her love affair with pizza this year. She's rocked a pepperoni pizza onesie, a pizza swimsuit, and she even brought pizza to the club and to the tub. If that's not love, then I don't know what is.

Iggy Azalea and Nick Young

If there is one couple I want to see walk down the aisle in 2015 it's Iggy and her NBA star BF, Nick. And lucky for me, I may actually get my wish, since they've already been talking marriage, have introduced their parents to each other and they live together. Also, they pretty much make the perfect pair, they're supportive, have great style and have impromptu dance sessions in Cheesecake Factory parking lots.

Rihanna and Instagram

Just like any couple, Rihanna and Instagram have had their ups and downs. She deleted her account, then restored it and then all but abandoned. But in November, Badgalriri confirmed that this relationship was 100% back on with an upside-down seflie and the caption “Hellurrr #badgalback.” Since her triumphant return, Rihanna has flooded our feed with shots of her looking fierce on the red carpet, wearing some scantily clad outfits and of course, all those precious shots of her baby niece.

Beyonce and Jay Z

This year wasn't easy for the power couple as they dealt with the notorious elevator incident and countless divorce rumors. But they silenced everyone at the 2014 Video Music Awards when Hov presented Bey (along with baby Blue) with the Video Vanguard Award and made us all burst into tears of pure joy.

Lady Gaga And Asia

Back in April, Gaga introduced the world to her "bat pig" Asia, and we instantly fell in love with their newfound friendship. The two do everything together, they wear matching sweaters, they go surfing, they go on dinner dates, and Asia even loves her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney. We should all be so lucky to have such a great bestie.

Snooki and Jionni

Just two months after giving birth to her second child, Snooki wowed everyone as she said "I Do" to her longtime love, Jionni. They seriously make a darling family. Congrats, Snooks!

Miley Cyrus and Wayne Coyne

While they may seem like an unlikely pairing, Miley and The Flaming Lips frontman are basically the best of besties. I mean they have BFF tattoos, he joined her on the Bangerz tour, and she's got his face all over her underwear.
