Who Is Naughty Boy And What's With All This One Direction Drama?

Here's exactly what's been going down.

It appears that the feud between One Direction and Naughty Boy is still going strong.

One Direction were performing in Kansas City as part of their On The Road Again tour when a fan tossed a piñata on stage. NBD except for the fact that the piñata was supposedly decorated with Naughty Boy's face.

Louis then proceeded to stomp on it, Liam sat on it and Niall gave it a good punch.

Here is what the piñata may have looked like up close.

This actually shouldn't come as too big of a surprise for Directioners, because as they know, the band's relationship with Naughty Boy -- who was supposedly producing music for their former member, Zayn Malik -- has been a rocky one.

How rocky? Well, here is a look back at the timeline of drama that has gone down between Naughty Boy, Zayn and 1D.

April 15, 2014: Who Is Naughty Boy?

Many might not be aware, but Zayn Malik and Naughty Boy's friendship goes way back. The producer, who has been instrumental in creating hits for Sam Smith ("La La La"), Emeli Sandé, Rihanna and Leona Lewis, revealed back in 2014 that he was hitting the studio with Zayn, who, at the time, was still with One Direction.

March 28, 2015: Zaughty Surfaces

Five days after Zayn left One Direction, the producer retweeted a video that mashes up Zayn and Naughty to create the moniker “Zaughty." Shortly after, a demo of Zayn's track, "I Won't Mind," leaked online.

March 30, 2015: Louis Fires Back

Louis was not too happy with the video that Naughty Boy tweeted, calling the move "inconsiderate." The two exchanged heated tweets with Naughty Boy claiming it had nothing to do with Zayn. Either way, Louis said it was a way to "wind up" the fans.

April 1, 2015: Zayn's Song Was Not For 1D

Many started speculating that Zayn's "I Won't Mind" track was actually a demo recorded for One Direction’s last album, Four, a rumor Louis quickly shut down.

April 18, 2015: Zayn Thanks 1D... And Naughty Boy

While accepting his Asian Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, Zayn thanked "one of my best friends" Naughty Boy and the "four of the best guys I’ve ever met."

April 22, 2015: Naughty Boy vs. Directioners

While Naughty Boy doesn't explicitly say that he's calling the One Direction fans "fake," the fandom clearly thought so, lashing out on him on Twitter and trending the hashtag #GetNaughtyBoySuspended.

May 6, 2015: #TOMLINSONSLAYSAGAIN

After Louis poked fun at a filtered photo of Zayn and Naughty Boy, Zayn fired back at Louis asking him to stop making "bitchy comments" about his life. Naughty Boy then decided to get in on the action by insulting Louis' singing abilities, which prompted the boy band star to respond, "How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else's career?"

May 7, 2015: Zayn Felt Attacked

Fans rallied around Louis after the whole "bitchy comments" thing, leaving Zayn confused as to why he was being "attacked" for defending himself.

June 15, 2015: 'No Type' Remix

A video of Zayn Malik covering Rae Sremmurd’s “No Type," along with UK rapper MIC Righteous, finds its way online.

July 13, 2015: #ZAYNHASNOCHILL

Supposedly, Zayn wasn't too happy that "No Type" leaked, which many think prompted him to fire off this tweet telling Naughty Boy to "stop pretending we're friends."

July 20, 2015: Naughty Boy Thought Zayn Was Hacked

Sorry to say, NB, but Zayn's tweets were 100% real. The producer said what went down was "unnecessary," a "bit sad," and he denied leaking any of Zayn's material.

July 28, 2015: Piñata Smack-Down

Naughty Boy's face was supposedly plastered on this piñata, which received quite the hit...no word on if there was candy inside.
