Carly Rae Jepsen Reveals How She Got Tom Hanks To Star In Her ‘I Really Like You’ Video

'It's a long story,' Carly said.

If you're like me, then all day you've been singing Carly Rae Jepsen's new single "I Really Like You" non-stop, and believe me, I'm not complaining.

After two years of "hiking," "sipping tea" and "hiding in the forests," Carly picked up right where she left off with "Call Me Maybe," delivering an '80s throwback up-beat track, much like the songs on her 2012 album Kiss, that will most likely secure its place on the top of the charts.

The pop star made her first appearance in support of her new single on "Good Morning America" on Monday (March 2) performing the song for the very first time.

Afterwards, she revealed a few details about the upcoming video for the track, which stars Justin Bieber and Tom Hanks helping her take over the streets of New York City.

"It's a great combo," she said of her co-stars. "We love the idea of Tom taking over for our video and Justin was in town and he was like, 'I'm going to come down' and I'm like, 'You should -- The more the merrier."

Getting Tom, who is friends with Carly's manager, Scooter Braun, to appear in the video was actually much easier than you probably thought.

"He kind of offered," she said of Tom. "It's a strange, long story."
