Donald Glover already has a tough job ahead with taking on a beloved role in the Star Wars galaxy, but now his own mother has gone and kicked the pressure up a notch.

It turns out his mama isn't just a fan of Lando Calrissian — the role Glover will play in the yet-to-be-named Han Solo origin story to be released in 2018 — but also of the OG Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. She's such a fan that she's kind of worried her boy will ruin the character for her. Forever.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Glover revealed that his mom warned him not to squander this huge opportunity. He mentioned that a Lando action figure was one of the first toys he ever had, and when he told his mom that he nailed the part, her first words? "DON'T MESS IT UP. DON'T. MESS. THIS UP."

At least he has a decent sense of humor about it and a thick skin for tough love and encouragement, 'cause this sounds like the role of a lifetime and one he's been preparing for since childhood. Bobby Dee can own his triumph, but it's time for Glover to try his hand at the part — just as long as he does right by his mama's expectations.
