Han Solo Is Officially Getting His Own Spin Off — By The ‘LEGO Movie’ Directors

Everything is awesome!

The writer-director duo who took "The LEGO Movie" and made it into something -- well, awesome -- now have a new challenge that's sure to excite geeks all over the world. And no, it's not "The Flash" movie. It's bigger. Muuuuch bigger.

Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, who also worked on "Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs," "21 Jump Street" and "22 Jump Street," are officially attached to the latest "Star Wars" spin-off. That movie also has an official subject, and boy it's a doozy:

Yup, according to the official Star Wars website they're making a "Han Solo Anthology film" which will follow the young smuggler on adventures that take place before he meets Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Tattooine, to be released on May 25, 2018.

But what kind of adventures, exactly? Will we see him get married to that lady who showed up in the "Star Wars" comic? Will we finally figure out how he made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs when parsecs are really a measure of distance? Will Chewie be there? And who are they going to get to play Han who's as charming and rougish as Harrison Ford was back in the day?

With any luck some of the questions will be answered at the "Star Wars" San Diego Comic-Con panel this weekend, but for now let's keep those fancasts coming!
