Kehlani Is Back And More Badass Than Ever In Her ‘CRZY’ Video

With choreography, cake, and "cool ass friends"

After a brief absence following her public breakup and reported suicide attempt, Kehlani triumphantly returned in July with “CRZY.” The uplifting banger is a celebration of resilience (“All this shit I’ve been through and it made me more real than assassin”), and it becomes even livelier with its new video.

The Benny Boom–directed clip features the Oakland singer busting out some awesome choreography with her girls (in an Instagram post announcing the vid, Kehlani thanked "all the amazing dope and incredibly DIVERSE female dancers, and my cool ass real friends for being apart of it.”). There’s also a birthday bash that ends with a cake to the face, but don’t worry — ’lani’s gold-plated grills make it out unscathed. Whew!

Kehlani followed up “CRZY” with the sultry “Distraction” and her Suicide Squad slow-burner “Gangsta.” The 21-year-old is currently prepping her upcoming debut album, SSS, and is opening on tour for Lauryn Hill this fall. If all of that isn’t cause for a cake celebration, then I don’t know what is.
