After showing off her “CRZY” side last week, Kehlani is back with yet another new release.

On “Distraction,” the Oakland singer’s on the hunt for a no-strings bae to, well, distract her from the madness of everyday life; someone “to give me your time” but “to not wanna be mine”.

“My life can get crazy, I deal with shit on the daily / But baby I’m thinking maybe, we could agree to work it out like this,” Kehlani sings over a mid-tempo, ’90s-esque groove, before asking flat-out, “Do you want to be a distraction?”

There’s still no word on when to expect Kehlani’s debut album, which follows last year’s Grammy-nominated mixtape, You Should Be Here. But this pair of stellar new releases hints at promising news ahead.
