Kehlani Channels Her Inner Harley Quinn In ‘Gangsta’ Video

The spooky Suicide Squad slow-burner gets a Joker and Harley-centric clip

Titanic’s Jack and Rose had “My Heart Will Go On” to soundtrack their doomed romance, and now Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn and The Joker have a song all their own: Kehlani's "Gangsta."

A week after debuting the seductive slow-burner, the Bay Area singer has returned with its fittingly spooky video. Like Rick Ross and Skrillex’s “Purple Lamborghini” clip, this one puts The Joker front and center, with extra emphasis on his relationship with Harley Quinn. Interspersed with Suicide Squad footage, we see Kehlani projecting herself into Harley’s manic mind-set, stroking a graffiti’ed baseball bat while drawling about “freakness on the loose.” If that doesn’t describe Harley and The Joker to a T, then I don’t know what does.

“Gangsta” appears on Suicide Squad: The Album, which dropped on Friday, along with the film (which, in case you haven’t heard, did juuuuust fine at the box office, critics be damned).
