Wait, Is Lady Gaga Really Playing The 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show?!

Little Monsters, get ready to grab your helmets and guacamole

The news just keeps getting better for Little Monsters this week: Lady Gaga not only has a new album coming out, but it now looks like Mother Monster will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show this coming February.

A source told Us Weekly that the pop star will be playing Super Bowl LI at Houston's NRG Stadium on February 5, which, awesome! That'll be great if it turns out to be true, but we'll believe it once Gaga hits her social channels and confirms it herself. She had such a great time performing at the 2016 Super Bowl, so frankly, we wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to get back to football's biggest night ASAP.

In the meantime, this could all be a "Perfect Illusion." Historically, it's a little early on the time frame for talent announcements as far as the halftime show is concerned. News of Katy Perry's 2015 Left Shark–employing show didn't make the rounds until October 2014, and Coldplay was confirmed as Super Bowl L's headliner merely two months before they stormed the field with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars last February. Bruno, however, confirmed his 2014 Super Bowl halftime headliner status in early September, too, so while there's cause to speculate, this could be the real deal.

One thing's for sure: We know Adele definitely won't be joining Gaga in Texas.
