Drake Offers A First Look At His New Short Film 'Please Forgive Me'

The rapper will dive back into his flair for the cinematic with a renowned music video director

In early 2015, long before Views materialized, Drake gave fans a taste of his then brand-new mixtape, If You're Reading This It’s Too Late, via a stunning visual trip through Toronto called Jungle.

We knew that another Drake short film called Please Forgive Me was on its way, and early Friday (August 26), he shared the first taste of it on Instagram. Noah “40” Shebib, the rapper’s longtime producer and the man behind Jungle’s nocturnal score, will be returning for it.

Drake also name-checked Anthony Mandler as a collaborator, a filmmaker who counts Nicki Minaj’s “Starships,” Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and Rihanna’s “Diamonds” music videos on his long list of accomplishments.

Looks like Drake — and Please Forgive Me — are in good hands for his next cinematic project.
