We Finally Know What 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Is About

Wands at the ready.

When we gathered our burning questions about magical "Harry Potter" prequel trilogy "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," the first thing on our minds was, "what is this even about?"

Well, question answered! (Vaguely.)

As part of Entertainment Weekly's big cover story this week about the movie, Warner Bros. has released the plot summary for "Fantastic Beasts." Ready for it?

Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives in 1926 New York City, carrying a magical suitcase. According to EW, "within are expansive habitats for a collection of rare and endangered magical creatures from Newt’s travels around globe." Americans are afraid of magic and the wizarding community is in hiding. Apparently, some of Newt's magical creatures escape, which can only spell mayhem.

Eeee! Between these long-awaited plot details, the first glimpse at Redmayne and Co. in costume yesterday and the revelation of the American word for Muggles (No-Maj), we're already counting down to the film's November 18, 2016 release date.
