It's finally here: we've been treated to our first look at Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, author of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" -- and star of the upcoming "Harry Potter" spin-off movie of the same name.
Redmayne appears on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly in all of his wizardly finery, holding a wand in one hand and a briefcase in the other.
It looks like the scholarly wizard isn't just a smarty when it comes to magical creatures: he's also a snappy dresser. Redmayne stands on a stairway of, according to EW, the "Magical Congress of the United States of America (or MACUSA), which is the American version of the Ministry of Magic that’s housed inside the Woolworth Building in the film." He's rocking a three-piece suit and bow tie. Ready for adventure? You bet.
Later, EW also premiered the first pic of the film's core four in costume: check out Katherine Waterston, Redmayne, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler in their wizardwear.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" hits theaters November 18, 2016.
