Taylor Swift ‘Seems To Love’ Hailee Steinfeld’s New Music

Can I request a collaboration?

Hailee Steinfeld is making this whole actress-turned-singer thing look really easy.

The "Pitch Perfect 2" star recently released her infectious debut single, "Love Myself," which just became a Top 40 hit, charting at #36 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. And it's no surprise that it did, considering it's a song filled with a message of empowerment and love mixed with a supremely catchy hook.

"The song is about taking care of and indulging yourself, whether that being physically or emotionally or with material things, though it's nice to have someone provide for you. It's nice to know that you can do it on your own," Hailee recently told us of the song. "And that song represents how much power there is in being able to provide for yourself."

And luckily for fans, there is plenty more where that came from, since her first single certainly sets the tone for what will appear on her debut album.

"I've been in the studio the last six months or so, and it's all still a work in progress, but I've been having the time of my life," she said. "Each song is very unique and different and has a sort of different sound, but obviously all fits under the same world."

Hailee, who said music has always been "part of my plan," teased that she has been in the studio with some other artists, but wouldn't tell us who.

Hailee is part of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" squad, appearing in the video, so this team-up would totally make sense. Plus, Hailee said that Taylor "seems to love" her new music, so I'm putting my bets on that collaboration.
