Perrie Edwards Reveals Her Tips For Getting Over A Breakup

'Eat some crappy food,' Perrie said.

Breakups are not easy, but breakups in the spotlight pretty much suck.

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has been dealing with just that after she and former One Direction member Zayn Malik called off their engagement last month.

I'm sure it hasn't been easy for the singer. She's been asked some uncomfortable questions, broke down during a super sad Little Mix song and has had her every move been reported on in the context of her relationship.

But Perrie isn't the only one going through a breakup, and that's why she's giving out some tips to help all those going through a similar situation.

"Have that little moment when you're in your room and you cry," she told Cosmopolitan

"Eat some crappy food: chocolate and ice cream and popcorn," she told the mag, adding that a new hairdo helps. "And you feel like s--t, [but] then once you pass that stage, surround yourself with positive people. You get your girlfriends, you go out, party, you enjoy life."

And that's exactly what she is doing. Perrie has been leaning on her fellow bandmates Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade. "We're past the point of being friends. We literally love each other so much," she said.

"We are together 24/7. We live in each others' pockets every single frickin' day, but we still go back to our hotels rooms and immediately ask each other, 'Oh, what are you doing tonight? Do you want to come to my room?' We love being together," she said. "It's weird, I don't even know why. But it just works — we believe in sisterhood and just being strong women. We've really become stronger as a unit and realize that when four girls like us come together, it is a force to be reckoned with."
