Yep, Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas — known to the world then as a curly-haired country princess and a floppy-haired Jo Bro — dated for a whopping three months in 2008. Though their relationship was short but sweet, we still shipped these two hard, which is why we’re proud to report there’s no “bad blood” between the exes today.

During an interview with Access Hollywood on Thursday (May 21), Joe revealed that he and Tay aren’t exactly BFFs now, but they’re still “cool” with each other.

“She’s great. We’re friends,” he spilled. “I think in this industry, you meet a lot of people and you stay in touch. Obviously, it’s tough to be friends with people that are always constantly traveling, but yeah, we’re cool.”

As longtime Swifties may remember, Taylor penned a semi-scathing breakup ballad about Joe called “Forever and Always” after their split, but Joe insists there’s no hard feelings, adding that writing songs about exes is just “part of being a musician.”

Besides, both 25-year-olds have clearly moved on — Taylor’s happily dating Calvin Harris, while Joe is playing the field. He told Access Hollywood he’s “a single man,” but just last week he was spotted out and about with newly-single model Gigi Hadid, who recently broke up with her longtime beau Cody Simpson.

In case Joe and Gigi’s friendship seems awkward, considering Gigi is good friends with Taylor (she recently appeared in Tay’s star-studded “Bad Blood” music video), don’t worry. Judging by this silly pic from a Billboard Music Awards afterparty in Las Vegas last weekend, Gigi, Joe, Taylor, and Calvin are all totally cool hanging out with each other and giving us major squad envy in the process.
