Coldplay's Chris Martin Has A Great Story About Being Kidnapped By Angelina Jolie

Jolie held nothing back when it came to getting Martin to pen a song for her new film 'Unbroken.'

Angelina Jolie's new movie "Unbroken" ends with Coldplay's song "Miracles" playing over the closing credits, and if you ask Chris Martin, the story of how the two artists came to team up sounds like something out of one of the actress's blockbuster action flicks.

When Vulture interviewed Coldplay's lead singer and songwriter about his new song, Martin told one heck of a story about being abducted by Jolie's people and forced to pen the track at knifepoint.

"I got a message that said, 'Meet in this undisclosed location. You'll be blindfolded and picked up by seven ex–Navy SEALs.' So they kidnapped me, hit me over the head, and sprayed me with Mace. When I woke up, I was in an office, and Brad Pitt was doing push-ups as Angelina Jolie was just sitting there with her crown on. There was also a guy holding a knife to my throat, and she said, 'Write me a song, or else.'" Martin said. "We wrote a song and then she said, 'It's through to the final eight,' and then we had live eliminations at her house. We came in second, but the main guy chickened out."

Sounds like a lucky break for one of the world's most sought-after songwriters. Obviously, Martin is exaggerating for effect, but he's pretty good at tall tales! I wonder who had the chops to beat Coldplay in Jolie's life or death elimination trial.
