2023 Grammys: See The Winners List
The 2023 Grammys conversation seems to be simply incomplete — or willfully delusional — if it's not driven by Beyoncé. The mega-star is at the center of this year’s nominations, racking up a total of nine, but it’s the narrative around the her relationship with the show (and this show in particular) that’s driving the entire season.
Namely, after Adele’s 25 beat out Bey’s Lemonade at the 2017 show, fans have been pining for a rematch. This year brings it, but even that doesn’t feel quite like the right tenor of 2023’s Grammy season. Bey’s Renaissance is so much bigger than a pop album; it’s a history lesson in Black and electronic music that sounds like (and is) a party. Who wouldn’t be in the corner of an album like that?
All that said, as of this writing — before the show itself officially kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on CBS — Bey has already won Best Dance/Electronic Recording (for “Break My Soul”) and Best Traditional R&B Performance (for “Plastic Off the Sofa”). Two down, how many more to go?
