Remember when Aziz Ansari made a DIY music video for Kanye West’s “Famous”? It appears Amy Schumer saw that vid, said to herself, “Hey, I can do that!”, and then went ahead and tried it with Beyoncé’s Lemonade cut “Formation.”
The comedian recruited a delightfully random assortment of co-stars for her parody, including actresses Goldie Hawn, Wanda Sykes, and Joan Cusack, as well as a bunch of unsuspecting farm animals. Schumer and Hawn — who are co-starring in an upcoming mother-daughter comedy — command most of the attention, lip-syncing the track on an island while wearing dirty threads. They also try to mimic Bey’s original “Formation” choreography, but it’s not all that impressive, TBH. There can only be one Beyoncé.
The video, titled “Get in Formation,” premiered as a Tidal exclusive, so at least we know Jay Z must’ve approved this hot mess. Tidal members can check out the whole vid below, while nonmembers can see a 30-second preview.
