What’s Going On With Lil Wayne And Why Does He Feel ‘Mentally Defeated’?

He’s ‘defenseless,’ but ‘ain’t lookin for sympathy,’ either

Whether it’s tour stress, label duress, or a general mess of things weighing down on him, it doesn’t matter: Lil Wayne isn’t feeling so great, and he’s been through a lot in the last 24 hours.

First, someone dialed up 911 in Miami and falsely reported a shooting at his home, and this is the second time this has happened in two years. Then, shortly following the false alarm, he took to his Twitter, quit hip-hop, and shrugged it off some six hours after the fact.

Early in the morning on September 3, Wayne vented to his followers that he was all set with music, a curious thing considering how he just wrapped his own Lil Weezyana Fest and dropped a new track, “No Mercy.”

A conciliatory “I’m good y’all don’t trip” hit later that morning, keeping fans confused but at ease.

It’s easy to see why he’s frustrated: The rapper has been feuding with his label over delayed releases and dealing with other legal matters for years, and it appears he’s had enough.

What “I’m good y’all” entails remains to be seen, but hopefully he’s moved on from “defeated” to exactly that.
