Lil Wayne is suing Birdman and Cash Money as his dispute with the label persists, but now he's the defendant in a similar suit for alleged missed payments -- from his lawyers in the Birdman and CM case, no less.
According to XXL, Michael Kramer, Tunechi's former lawyer, filed a suit in Manhattan court on Monday, over roughly $375,000 in unpaid legal fees for the case. Kramer claims to have “made numerous attempts to resolve the dispute amicably. These attempts were ultimately unsuccessful.”
As for Weezy's case against Cash Money: It's been almost a year since he filed the $51 million lawsuit, claiming he's owed $10 million for Tha Carter V in addition to plenty of other unfulfilled payments.
Birdman, meanwhile, doesn't seem too concerned. “With my son Wayne, I feel like everything we did, and how we built this here...I gave him a $100-plus million contract, $67 million up front, the biggest contract in hip-hop to me,” he said in July.
“And it didn’t take an organization to do this — I did this for my son and that meant the world to me that I was able to do that. And what’s going on now, I don’t really know how it’s gon’ turn out.”
