As part of her Revival era, Selena Gomez hasn’t only treated fans to a more mature sound, but to an unexpected roster of hip-hop collaborators. First there was A$AP Rocky as a featured artist on the sultry “Good For You,” and then Fetty Wap contributed a fiery verse to her “Same Old Love” remix. Now, it looks like Sel has her eyes fixed on another rap heavyweight: Wiz Khalifa.
Over the weekend, Wiz teased their recording studio hang session on Snapchat. While an unknown song plays in the background, Selena is seen chilling next to Wiz, smiling and then starting to a blow a kiss at the camera. Wiz later indicated on Twitter that the track is from Rolling Papers 2, the upcoming sequel to his 2011 debut album.
The rapper wasn’t the only lucky guy who got to chill with Selena, though. His new puppy Max B also got in on the action, posting a pic with Sel to his Instagram (yes, Max B has an Instagram). The snap was reportedly captioned “collab coming soon” at first, but it’s since been edited.
The only question here is whether Selena and Wiz are cooking up a collab for his upcoming album or hers. During a post-Grammys interview last month, Selena told Zach Sang & The Gang that she’s already prepping her Revival follow-up, in the midst of also readying her summer tour.
“I’m already getting back in the studio with everybody that I love and I’ve been more inspired than ever,” she revealed.
It’s also possible Selena is continuing the trend of reinventing her Revival singles with a “Hands to Myself” remix. Or maybe Wiz is hopping on a reworked version of Sel and Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore?" That could be cool, considering Puth and Wiz are already noted hit-making collaborators (heard of a little song called "See You Again?"). The possibilities are endless, so consider our eyes glued to Max B's Instagram for further clues.
