Kanye West Is Taking 'Waves' To ‘SNL’

He'll join host Melissa McCarthy next month.

Mark your calendars -- Kanye West is headed back to Studio 8H.

Saturday Night Live” announced via Twitter on Friday afternoon that ‘Ye will be the musical guest on its Feb. 13 show, joining host Melissa McCarthy. His appearance will come just two days after he releases his newly-retitled album, Waves, and debuts it at Madison Square Garden.

This will mark Kanye’s sixth “SNL” performance. His last appearance was almost one year ago on the show’s 40th anniversary special, where he premiered his Sia and Vic Mensa collab, “Wolves” (which, according to his slightly legible tracklist, is slated to appear on Waves).

In the same show, he also made a cameo in Mike Myers and Dana Carvey’s “Wayne’s World” sketch, where he poked fun at his mini-feud with Beck. Hmm… maybe there’s a chance the “SNL” writers will convince him to do a similar skit inspired by his recent beef with Wiz Khalifa? We can only hope.

McCarthy, meanwhile, will make her return to the “SNL” stage for the fourth time as host. Her appearance will also reunite her with two of her three “Ghostbusters” costars: “SNL” featured players Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. Here’s hoping Kristen Wiig shows up to round out the cast.

“SNL” returns with a new episode on Feb. 6, with host/Bernie Sanders impression master Larry David and musical guest The 1975.
