Make way for a future (and no doubt entertaining) Palos Hills High School student: Desi Lydic is a mom to a bouncing baby boy!

The "Awkward" actress -- who is known for imparting her unique and quirky wisdom as Val Marks (aka PHHS' vice principal/guidance counselor extraordinaire) on the MTV series -- just welcomed her first child with husband Gannon Brousseau. And the very first glimpse of the handsome munchkin, which can be seen below, is absolutely heartwarming -- and would make even Sadie Saxton emotional.

"I hope your Christmas is as special as mine. #MerryChristmas #Brixton," the "Daily Show" correspondent captioned the Instagram snapshot of the mother-son duo sharing an intimate moment. Perhaps she's telling him to be wary of llamas...

Understandably, the congratulatory comments began to flow in for the beaming mama and her little guy: The real-life gal on the receiving end of a lot of Val's advice (aka Ashley Rickards) wrote "Beautiful!!!!!" while the thespian's on-screen (and off-screen) pal Nikki DeLoach gushed, "Can't wait to meet Huddy's new BFF!!! Love my little buddy and his mama so much!!"

Following the initial announcement, Desi gave a humorous take on what she expected from her child.

"The feet that'll be walking all over me for the next 18 years," she wittily added, along with the pic above of her kiddo's tootsies. Well, here are some tips to (not) follow from your alter ego to help you through this time!
