A certain MTV star will be joining the crew come September.

"The Daily Show" is going to seem slightly "Awkward" when it returns this fall: Desi Lydic is joining the Comedy Central series as a correspondent.

Naturally, the woman behind the lovable and kooky Val Marks took to Twitter to dish on her big news:

The actress -- who studied and performed at The Groundlings and Improv Olympic -- won't be the only new face appearing on the program when it debuts later this month: Roy Wood Jr. and Ronny Chieng will also appear, and the trio will be in pretty stellar company alongside Jessica Williams, Lewis Black, John Hodgman, Aasif Mandvi and Kristen Schaal.

The 20-time Emmy-award-winning "Daily Show" will be back with its new host Trevor Noah September 28 at 11/10c. Offer your congrats to Desi on her new gig in the comments, and be sure to keep watching "Awkward" on MTV every Monday night at 9/8c!
