Now that Black Friday technically begins on Thanksgiving Day, the two "holidays" (or one holiday and one one huge economy-boosting retail creation) have sort of become one gigantic celebration of food, family, heavily discounted electronic goods -- and apparently brand-new hip-hop creations.
Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole celebrated the occasion by each dropping a new track called "Black Friday" that features each one freestyling over the other's song.
First up, Kendrick's "Black Friday" finds K. Dot rapping over the Vinylz-produced beat from "A Tale of 2 Citiez," the fifth track on J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive album from last year.

Cole then gave thanks for such a gift by sharing his own remix of Kendrick's "Alright," one of the most supercharged songs (and videos) from this year's To Pimp A Butterfly.

Kendrick and Cole have performed together in the past, notably at Madison Square Garden in 2014. That's where they got this pretty rad photo snapped together on stage, which I must now go print out on an expensive card stock and find an appropriate frame for. Excuse me.
