Ariana Grande Ditched Her Ponytail For Two Totally Different Styles At The AMAs
The red carpet at the 2015 AMAs was full of dramatic hair changes, from Gigi Hadid debuting a chin-length bob, to Kendall Jenner showing off choppy bangs. While Ariana Grande didn't walk the carpet, she managed to squeeze two hairstyles into the show, neither of which—please take a seat—was her trademark half-up ponytail.
The first, for her performance of "Focus," was entirely down and wavy. While her hair was uncharacteristically light for the "Focus" cover art and in the video, she took things in the opposite direction, teasing her newly dark hair on Snapchat.
Shortly after, Ariana took the stage to accept her award for Favorite Female Artist with an entirely different 'do. While this isn't the first time we've seen her with a bun—remember "bunty," guys??—this is no ordinary bun. There's a herringbone braid woven into it, elevating it to, essentially, a very fancy bunty.
While it seems doubtful that Ariana's ponytail is gone forever, it is refreshing to see new styles atop her head. More, please!
