Here at MTV Style, we just KNEW if there was one person whose outfit was guaranteed to shock us and send us into a head-360-spinning, eye-buggin' outfit at this year's Video Music Awards it would absolutely be the one Miss Katy Perry. And let us tell you, girl surely did not disappoint. Katy arrived shimmying down the red carpet in a full-on Asian-inspired ensemble of epic proportions. Rocking a floral-embellished besequined light blue mini (and we're talking MINI) with strappy neon coral heels, decorative flowers pinned into her newly pink hair (sidenote: We're LOVING the pin-curl waves, girl! Very South Pacific. Is that nerdy to say? Oh well, too late.), she goes the extra mile and tops the whole thing off with a gigantic PARASOL. Ugh. *clutches pearls + 'round the world snap* DO WERK.
