Pauly D’s super-gelled hair.
The winds are still whipping and the rain is still falling, but for the most part, the tumultuous Hurricane Irene is finally making her East Coast exit (though not without leaving a considerable amount of destruction in her wake). While she was certainly devastating, the speedy collective preemptive measures taken ensured just about as safe a weathering of this storm as possible. One of Irene’s hardest hit victims was now-infamous Seaside Heights, summer home to the cast of Jersey Shore. The always-positive Pauly D declared, “Irene got nothing on my blowout,” with a chuckle before acknowledging the storm’s serious risks, “I was nervous. This storm’s no joke.” Though, if there was ANY tonsorial structure built to withstand a natural disaster, his ’do would probably be it.
The ’Jersey Shore’ cast’s seats at the 2011 VMAs.
Pauly and his other Shore castmates made it safely to LA for tonight’s VMAs, and we personally cannot WAIT to see what they roll up wearing on the red carpet (the level of sparkle and animal print, we’re SURE will be severely major). While the night is sure to be a big one for the crew (the WAY anticipated episode that resolves the physical altercation between Ronnie and The Situation is set to air at 7 pm ET immediately before the VMA Pre-Show), they’ll be thinking of their loved ones back home. “Our prayers go out for everyone on the East Coast,” Vinny said. “We’re looking out for them, but I think they’re going to be all right.”
