Let’s Never Forget Ariana Grande’s Amazing Broadway Debut

Aww... Ari got nostalgic about the anniversary of '13.'

Arianators, there is SO much to look forward to this fall, with Ariana Grande’s upcoming new single and subsequent album release. But before we “Focus” (pun intended) too hard on the future, let’s take a little trip down memory lane with our girl.

On Monday (Oct. 5), the 22-year-old got adorably nostalgic about the way her career in show biz started. No, we’re not talking about her role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” or its spin-off series “Sam & Cat.” Way before that, Ariana got her first taste of the limelight as part of the original Broadway cast of “13.”

In 2008, Ari was cast as cheerleader Charlotte in the musical — a role that earned her a National Youth Theatre Association Award. The all-teen cast also starred Ari’s BFF Liz Gillies, who went on to join Ari on both “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat.”

Ari tweeted about the “unforgettable experience” on the show’s seven-year anniversary, and went on to thank its musical mastermind Jason Robert Brown.

The proud Broadway alum also shared some lyrics from the “13” song “A Little More Homework.”

The anniversary also sparked some nostalgia from Gillies, who tweeted her own fond memories of the show, crediting it for bringing her and her bestie together.

So to get in on the celebratory action, let’s remember a couple amazing moments that “13” brought us, including curly-haired Ari SLAYING while the cast recorded “Brand New You.”

And Ariana singing a live version of the “13” song “What It Means To Be A Friend.”

AWWW! Thank you, “13,” for bringing this star into our lives.
