Iggy Azalea Recorded Her Verse For Demi Lovato Without Ever Hearing The Song

'It was so much more than I even expected,' Demi told us.

If you liked what you heard from Demi Lovato and Iggy Azalea at the 2015 Video Music Awards, you're in luck, because there is much more where that came from.

The two besties hit the stage to perform "Cool For The Summer" at the awards show, but have also teamed up for the song, "Kingdom," off Demi's upcoming album, Confident. While we knew this collaboration had been in the works for a while, it actually all came together rather quickly.

"When we finally made the decision of which songs were making the album I said 'OK I want her on this one.' So I called her and was like, 'Hey will you do a song?'," Demi told us. "And she's like, 'Yeah sure I'll go into the studio tonight.'"

And that's exactly what the "Fancy" rapper, who has enlisted Demi to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding to NBA player Nick Young, did. But there was one thing missing -- the actual song.

"I was like, 'Do you want to hear it first?' She's like 'No it's cool,'" Demi said. "I'm like you're an amazing friend and I love you."

Despite not hearing the track before she recorded, the end results "fit perfectly" into the whole sound and vibe of the song.

"I was a fan of her before we were friends, so I feel like I knew what it would sound like," she said. "And I was just excited to hear it back, it was so much more than I even expected."
