The first teaser for "Omen," Sam Smith's new song with Disclosure is here, and although there are only a handful of lyrics included in the preview snippet, it's already enough to start getting stuck in your head (just like every one of his singles before it).

The tune's sample here starts out sounding a little bit like the "True Detective" Season 2 theme song, but then BOOM -- that is, an actual "boom" happens -- the groove sets in. "I'm feeling something, something different," sings Smith, whose voice is just as elegant as ever following his vocal cord surgery earlier this summer.

The full video for "Omen," which Smith co-wrote and performed with the group that helped him hit the big time back in 2012 with "Latch," is expected to drop on Monday, July 27.

This is Smith's first new single since he went under the knife three months ago. Smith recently returned to the stage for his first post-operative performance, but the concert was cut short on account of rain, even though his voice was as lovely as ever.

Looks like it's (finally) anchors away, little sailors! And we're in for a smooth, groovy ride.
