Settle Down, Demi Lovato Didn't Sing 'Made In The USA' To Shade Ariana

'Can't yall let a girl shine for one night?' Jeez!

Cincinnati -- Never mind that last minute switcheroo that had Ariana Grande dropping out of Saturday night's MLB All-Star Game concert in Cincinnati and being replaced by Demi Lovato. As far as the packed house of 30,000-plus screaming, dancing fans at Paul Brown Stadium was concerned, it was all love.

Of course, there was that bit about halfway through the 75-minute show when some people looked around and said "what?!?!?" when Lovato busted out a song she said she hardly ever plays and definitely hasn't played lately.

"I know it's a little late but I didn't get to sing this on the Fourth of July," Demi told the crowd before playing a stripped-down version of her 2013 song, "Made In The USA," complete with red, white and blue flashing lights.

"But how many of you guys are proud to be an American?"

Wait, what? Yeah, it sure seemed DL was firing off a subtweet-y shot at Grande after the "Skyscraper" singer stepped in to take Grande's place on Wednesday, one day after a video leaked on TMZ of Grande licking donuts in a California bakery and proclaiming "I hate America." Ari has since apologized for her pastry indiscretion (twice).

Demi's seeming dis definitely got some eyebrows up.

Demi was quick to shut it down, though, explaining she didn't get to sing it the previous weekend because she was busy performing her hot weather smash-in-the-making, "Cool For The Summer."

Also, she always asks the crowd that question before playing the patriotic song, so chill.

Moving on, Demi had a great time in the Queen City playing a set of hits including "Skyscraper," "Really Don't Care, "Heart Attack," "Let It Go," "Give Your Heart A Break" and show-closer "Neon Lights."
