The Tastiest Moments From 'The Walking Dead' Comic-Con Panel

From Carol's cookies to Jon Snow to Daryl's Candy Crush and back again.

On Friday, July 10, San Diego Comic-Con officially welcomed actors Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, and Lennie James alongside producer-slash-showrunner Scott M. Gimple, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer Dave Alpert, and special effects makeup supervisor-slashexecutive producer Greg Nicotero for its annual kick-ass "The Walking Dead" panel.

Now of course, there were so many delicious moments that if you put them in pudding form even Carl couldn't finish them, but here are the best bits that you NEED to know:

The premiere is going to be bigger than ever.

Not only were 654 Walker extras used for the October 11 premiere episode, it's also longer than average -- 90 minutes! -- and will be shown at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

Melissa McBride came out with cookies.

Unfortunately, no one ate them.

Creator Robert Kirkman was honored in the best way possible.

Everyone had Robert Kirkman shirts -- and Robert Kirkman reaction heads on a stick -- since he's currently ill.

Norman Reedus filmed everybody on his way in.

... And also took pics throughout, and kept mugging for those in the front row taking his pic. Adorable, when a Daryl cosplayer asked a fan question, he turned around and took a selfie of the screen so he could keep the memory forever.

Norman Reedus ALSO has a very interesting way of getting in character.

"A lot of Motörhead, a lot of coffee, I play Candy Crush a lot... I'm so into it it's ridiculous. I spend hundreds of dollars, I don't give a sh-t." (Also, his favorite emoji is the red balloon.)

Lauren Cohan texted in.

Hilariously, Cohan -- who was visiting family -- texted in to Greg Nicotero, but insisted that Steve Yeun read it out loud instead of him. ("Oh for real? Cheeky!" Yeun replied.)

"Thanks so much for reading this note out loud... now can you please pass it to Steven to read," it read. "Steve says this: I miss not being there with you all... everyone in here is who makes this show... we thank you and love you so much. I hope you all have a freaking incredible weekend. Can you say something funny at the end?"

[He did not. His face said it all.]

Andrew Lincoln wants the beard back.

Andrew Lincoln said he HATED shaving on camera since he hates looking at his face in the mirror during that process, and he wants to grow the beard back as soon as possible. However, Steven Yeun told him he looked like he had a shrunken head.

Morgan's backstory SHOULD be revealed next year.

Per Lennie James, we'll find out what happened with Morgan over the year.

They might not be done with cast members from "The Wire."

"I'll just say we tried for someone this year and it actually didn't work out," Gimple teased. "[But] we aren't through with that cast yet."

Merritt Wever from "Nurse Jackie" has joined the cast!

Nothing else said, but hey -- that's pretty freaking cool.

Andrew Lincoln's mom is THIRSTY for Rickchonne.

"My mom is desperate for Rick and Michonne to get together," Lincoln explained after a fan asked about the duo's amazing dynamic.

They made a Jon Snow joke!

"He's dead," Cudlitz said. "He's not coming back. He's dead. That happens in shows sometimes... unless he comes back as a Walker."
