Lorde Proves That, Yes, You Can Climb Trees In Prada
It goes without saying that Lorde always kills it on fashion mags, especially as of late. Earlier this month, she channeled an "old-money '70s Californian" for Vogue Australia, and today, Dazed revealed Lorde as their cover star in a witchy shoot photographed by Ryan McGinley.
Judging by her ability to climb a tree in a Prada coat and Lanvin dress, it's clear they aren't kidding when they say she's a "force of nature." Robbie Spencer styled Lorde for their annual “Girls Rule the World" issue and Lena Dunham (very fittingly) meets up with New Zealand's biggest pop star to talk about sisterhood, Taylor Swift and everything in between.
In another shot, Lorde jumps on a bare mattress (in head-to-toe Gucci, nonetheless) proving that she is the master of hair flips no matter what the circumstances. Oh, and in case you were wondering, that badass 'tude totally came to her naturally. She told the mag, “I came into this with such a strong viewpoint–even when I was 13 or 14, my sense of self felt too permanent for anyone to f--k with.” And for that, we will always love her. The full issue, which features Andreja Pejić, Tink, and more, is on stands now.
