J.K. Rowling Is 'Thrilled' About Eddie Redmayne In 'Fantastic Beasts'

She thinks he's 'perfect.' D'awwww.

The Magical Queen doth approve of Sir Edward.

Which is our fancy Ministry-esque way of saying that J.K. Rowling has officially given her wizardette thumbs up to Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander -- and now we're even more stoked about the Oscar-winning actor (also the only British thespian who hadn't been in "Harry Potter" yet) joining her "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" adaptation.

"Thrilled that Eddie Redmayne will be starring in Fantastic Beasts," she tweeted on Wednesday. "He'll be a perfect Newt Scamander!"

As if there were any doubt. After all, Rowling is the source material and screenwriter on the project, which means her word is pretty much the letter of the law when it comes to this series. So, ya know, she probably had at least a little something to do with the selection.

But it's still good that she put her two cents into the Twitter bucket because it looks like several "Potter" afficionados on her feed were waiting for her input.

Like this person, who went ahead and put Eddie/Newt through the Sorting Hat to shore up the approval process for herself.

And this one, who also respects Eddie's go for the gravitas.

This muggle, meanwhile, totally thinks they hit the nail on the wizardhead with this one.

This person recognizes that Eddie was overdue for a run within the world of witchcraft and wizardry because of all his sads over not being made a Weasley way back when.

And this girl totally needed the JoRow seal of approval to get on board this hippogriff and go with it.

So, now we know that Jo is a GO.
