Kevin Jonas Talks Depression After Jonas Brothers, Thinks Zayn Malik Should ‘Go Dark For A Long Time’

Weren't we all depressed after the JoBros split?

Turns out, we weren't the only ones feeling super sad after the Jonas Brothers split. Kevin was as well.

The famous trio broke up back in 2013 after a "big disagreement," leaving everyone confused, devastated and heartbroken.

"It was around Christmas and we just shut down and I just got really depressed for awhile," Kevin told Elvis Duran on the Z100 Morning Show. "There's a mourning process."

Believe me, I know.

Kevin, who misses the "adrenaline rush" of being on tour, and his brothers have each undertaken new projects, Kevin with his food app Yood!, Joe with his restaurant and Nick with a successful solo career. So what does Kevin think of his baby bro topping the charts? Well, I can tell you one thing, he's not "Jealous."

"I don't know how many times I hear this...it's the worst pun in the world from some idiotic frat guy it's like 'Oh you must be 'jealous' of Nick,' literally constantly, and it's like 'why?' He's doing his thing," Kevin said. "I'm doing mine. I'm happy, he's happy this is great. I'm supporting him he's supporting me, everybody wins."

Kevin, who said he would absolutley reunite with his brothers if "it was the right time" also offered up some advice for another former boy band member, Zayn Malik, telling the star to lay low for a little while.

"In the mist of that intensity he should go dark for a long time, like showing up quickly after, you gotta go dark for at least 6 weeks like underground, gotta go hard because you gotta let it settle, you have to let the dust clear because anything you do will then be scrutinized," he warned. "Because if you come out and you're like 'Hey look at me I'm super happy everything is great,' everyone is going to be like what the?!"
