It had been more than a year since Catelynn and Tyler traveled to see Carly's parents Brandon and Teresa and spend some quality time with their little girl. Now, on this week's "Teen Mom OG" episode, the foursome sat down for a beneficial meeting about the long-standing struggles that they've all had with their open adoption plan -- and discovered that their relationship fears surrounding the growing five-year-old are very much alike.

"It was so great to realize that we both shared the same insecurities," Cate reveals in the "Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment" clip below, before Ty adds, "It was reassuring."

"We're not the only ones feeling like this -- they feel like that too," Cate continues as she reflects on the positive sit-down with B, T and their adoption counselor Dawn Baker. "It was just really good to know that they have almost the same fears that we do, in a way."

Ty echoes his fiancée's sentiments about the discussion, saying he believes it will only help their connection moving forward.

"After that conversation, they’re not gonna be so shocked if I say, 'I don’t agree with that' or 'I think we need to talk about this,'" Tyler states.
