Family Affairs: The (Many) Ups And Downs Of 'Carter' And Taylor

The sisters shared a sentimental moment this week, but things haven't always been quite so rosy.

Carter Stevens and Taylor Wilson may have grown up separately, but they've worked to repair the relationship that they missed out on for so many years. While moving forward as siblings hasn't necessarily been a bed of roses, the sisters experienced a major sweet breakthrough during the premiere "Finding Carter" episode -- shortly after Carter was snatched and recovered for the second time.

During the emotional nighttime convo featured above, the girls felt some anxiety after learning that deranged kidnapper Lori was actually their biological mother, and Carter understandably didn't want to be alone during the late hours. While the pair was safe and sound underneath the covers, they both vowed that nothing would change between them because they will always be blood.

In honor of their touching chat, here's a timeline of the gals' winding and complex sisterhood. Share your favorite moment that they've shared in the comments below, and be sure to catch a brand-new episode of "FC" tomorrow night at 10/9c!

Nice to meet you...again

Even though the estranged teen shared some heartwarming hugs with her grandparents, it was slightly more awkward for Carter to become reacquainted with T and meet younger brother Grant for the first time. During the interaction, Taylor made the difficult admission that she didn't remember their interactions before C's kidnapping -- thus indicating how much work they had ahead getting to know each other again.

A rager to remember

Shortly after T introduced her pal Gabe to her sis, the charming high school student invited them to a house party to try to ease all the familial activity that had just occurred. While Carter was a hit showing off shot-glass tricks, Taylor opened up to G about her sibling's return and their seemingly major personality differences.

Tay's evolution from meek to mix

T made the surprising admission to C that she'd never kissed anyone -- so during a get-together at Bird's place, Carter took matters into her own hands and rigged the gang's "Spin the Bottle"/"Seven Minutes in Heaven" gameplay to ensure Tay would be a part of every smoochfest. Post-lip locks with Ofe and Gabe, Taylor wound up with her flirt buddy/Carter's BFF Max at the end of the night -- but the duo opted to share their initial makeout in her bedroom.

Touching birthday wishes

Adorable matching navy blue frocks aside, the most endearing moment from the ladies' joint 17th bash was Taylor privately admitting -- after Carter explained Lori's potential plan -- that when she was blowing out the cake candles, she hoped that she wouldn't lose her twin.

Severe tongue-lashing

After getting word that Max's condition was stable post-shooting, his girlfriend yelled at a hysterical Carter and blamed her for the entire horrifying ordeal -- even though bad boy Crash pulled the trigger). But in the moment of rage, Taylor exclaimed that she would never forgive her sister for her boyfriend's terrible actions.

Moving forward

Despite Taylor's growing jealousy of Max's mom showing affection toward Carter, the two seemed to take a step in a positive direction after C expressed to T that she would do whatever it took to make things better between the duo. Little did they know that Carter would be snatched by Lori again, and their lives would be forever changed.
