It's not everyday that someone goes from being your idol to your bestie. So when Taylor Swift invited Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello over for a party in her honor, it's no surprise the 5H member's schedule suddenly opened up.

"We were texting and she asked me what I was going to do for my birthday, and at the time I wasn't doing anything, I was just like eating with my family. And she was like, 'Oh, well you can't do nothing for your birthday. Come over,' " Camila recalled to MTV News, when we chatted at the Tampa, Florida, stop of the Reflection Tour. "We met at the VMAs and we just kind of bonded. Like, we just started talking and she's really great. She's a really, really cool friend."

From baking cookies with Karlie Kloss to Shake Shack-ing with Lorde, Taylor's known for bonding with her celebrity pals over food. Her celebration of the former "X Factor" contestant's birthday was no different. So what exactly did the "Style" singer get Camila to ring in the big 1-8?

"She got cakes. We were texting about Roscoe's Chicken And Waffles and she had Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles there," Camila revealed. "She, like, invited a bunch of people over and made me feel really special and nice and I love her and they're awesome."

And even though none of her bandmates could make it to the soiree, the ladies from the group couldn't be more excited about Camila's new bestie.

"Your freaking idol celebrated your birthday with you," Dinah Jane Hansen gushed. "That's so freaking cool!"
