Jamie Dornan Responds To His Rumored 'Fifty Shades' Departure

Mr. Grey will see you in two years, and probably in three, too.

Yesterday, the hearts of "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans broke faster than a poorly-placed vase in the Red Room of Pain when reports spread that Jamie Dornan would not be appearing in the film's upcoming sequels. The reports, initiated by the Australian mag NW, say that Dornan is planning to exit the franchise due to his wife Amelia Warner's discomfort when it comes to his raunchy sex scenes.

However, don't get tied up in the idea of casting a new Christian just yet -- Dornan's rep told MTV News that the reports are about as solid as the rules in Anastasia's sex contract. (Which is to say, not very.)

"Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide, and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film," the rep said.

So, there you have it -- when "Fifty Shades Darker" finally hits theaters, Jamie Dornan will be right there with it. But per the above statement -- and this report of bubbling behind-the-scenes drama -- that might not be for awhile, so you might want to start watching "The Fall" or something while you wait.
