Matt Healy from The 1975 is swearing up and down Australian radio that he's not dating Taylor Swift, which is insane because Matt Healy should obviously date Taylor Swift.

"It's all a farce," the "Chocolate" singer told 2Day FM's "Shazam Top 20" last week about the rumors he's seeing the Queen of the Scottish Folds.

"We met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally. And she's the biggest pop star in the world, I'm in Australia -- there's no, like, relationship or anything happening. It's just funny how people really, really bite into that."

And yet, I wasn't totally convinced. Being super-good friends with Matt, I reached out to him for comment.

He never got back to me (probably too busy weaving us matching friendship bracelet), so I guess we'll just have to take Healy's word that Mattlor is, indeed, "a farce."
