Prep The Nursery: Spencer Pratt's Finally Ready To Be A Father

Thanks to 'Marriage Boot Camp,' Heidi Montag's hubby says he's now ready to take the plunge.

Considering how willfully Spencer Pratt has been rejecting the idea of fatherhood lately, it's seemed like his wife Heidi Montag might only have the chance to play the role of mother in her dreams. But it looks like Spence has finally come around, which means one thing:

BABY SPEIDI IS COMING.

To be clear, no, Heidi isn't pregnant yet, but the mere fact that her husband says he's ready to try is a huge step. And on "TODAY" this morning, Speidi explained how filming "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars," which premieres this week, finally got them on common ground.

"It took serious 'Boot Camp' training to come to a compromise," Spencer says in the video below.

"To get his butt into shape!" Heidi interjects.

And considering what the "The Hills" alums went through as part of their latest reality TV adventure, we can't say we're surprised Spencer's tune has changed. According to Heidi, each of the show's couples stayed in a room that was designed with their respective arguments in mind, and in the case of Speidi, that meant bunking in a grown-up nursery complete with adult-sized crib.

"They kind of want to throw it in your face right when you walk in," Heidi explains. "We've been trying to come to a compromise and talk about it, and we weren't really getting anywhere. It's hard when you're at one place with your relationship for years...we needed some professionals."

And though Spence was receptive to therapy, he shares he had to draw the line somewhere.

"I dragged the bed out of the crib," he admits. "We slept on the floor for two weeks." Hey, a man needs his own sanctuary!

Check out the clip, and be sure to tune in to the premiere of "Marriage Boot Camp" on Friday at 9/8c on WEtv!
