Ah-ha! It looks like we might have finally figured out why Lady Gaga has been getting super experimental with her makeup lately–she's the face and photographer of Shiseido's 2015 New Year's ad campaign, according to WWD.

Apparently 50 of Mother Monster's selfies will appear in Japanese newspapers this week, with 46 photos being published on January 1 and the rest on Monday, January 5. This is a pretty huge deal for a beauty campaign considering all the photos are shot by the singer herself, and–gasp!–possibly without Photoshop.

It's not a huge surprise, though, since Gaga's got her selfie game on lock, but will this mean the end of the #nomakeupselfie? Only time will tell!
