Kendrick Lamar's 'Crazy Voices' Reminds Nicki Minaj Of Nicki Minaj

What do you think about the animated voices?

Nicki Minaj has an arsenal of flows (she even brags about using four on "Feeling Myself" alone), and has become known for her use of different voices and vocal intonations.

But it sounds like Nicki not only feels like she doesn't get the credit she deserves, but also that others employing similar tactics -- namely, Kendrick Lamar -- do get praised.

“I got a call from Mister Cee after he heard ‘Bottoms Up,’ and he said he had to give me my props," she said, according to TheUrbanDaily, during a "CRWN" interview Tuesday night. "‘Bottoms Up’ was very animated, but he took the time to listen, you know what I’m saying? It takes skill. And then I see people doing it now. Sometimes, when I hear the animated things that Kendrick Lamar does...I respect and like him, but when I paid attention to certain things he does, I think to myself: ‘I did that.’”

A fan tweeted about the moment, too: "She said when she did crazy voices y'all n---as didnt respect it but now she hears Kendrick Lamar doing voices & y'all call him the king," @Ericccxminaj wrote.

It doesn't sound like there's any heavy tension here, more just an artist being protective and proud of their work.

What do you think? Does Nicki get the respect she deserves for her "animated" flow? Did Kendrick take any cues from her?
