Another 'American Horror Story' Favorite Heads To O.J. Spin-Off

Prepare for: "American Crime Story: The People V. OJ Simpson."

Ryan Murphy sure has his hands full with storylines women and crime. Just yesterday (December 8), we learned the writer/producer is taking one of his "American Horror Story" favorites, Emma Roberts, over to a new Fox horror-comedy anthology called "Scream Queens."

Today (December 9), TVLine reported, Murphy strikes again, casting "AHS" regular Sarah Paulson alongside Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. for his new FX drama miniseries "American Crime Story: The People V. OJ Simpson."

Gooding will take on the lead role of O.J. Simpson while Paulson will play prosecutor Marcia Clark. The 10-episode season focuses on The Juice's trial and (spoiler alert!) eventual acquittal for the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson. The script for the show is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book "The Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson" and will be told from the Clark's perspective.

"American Crime Story" will take on a similar tune to "American Horror Story," with any future seasons focusing on other infamous crimes instead of a continued single storyline.

The drama is scheduled to begin shooting early 2015 with Murphy seated in the director's chair.
