Great news, fans of Emma Roberts' bad-guy-with-a-heart-of-gold "American Horror Story: Freak Show" character Maggie Esmerelda (or her bad-guy-with-no-heart-at-all "AHS: Coven" character Madison Montgomery) -- according to The Hollywood Reporter, Roberts is officially set to star in "AHS" creator Ryan Murphy's next show, the Fox horror-comedy anthology "Scream Queens." Joining her will be one of the most legendary cinematic SQs of all time, Jamie Lee Curtis ("Halloween," duh) so needless to say our excitement for this series just increased exponentially.
Details of the sure-to-be-hit series are being kept purposefully mum at the moment, but THR also learned that a second young female would be cast opposite Roberts (Taissa Farmiga? Gabourey Sidibe?), and that the overall season would focus on "three young females, Curtis' role and a father." (Denis O'Hare? Michael Chiklis?)
The first season of the anthology will debut in the fall of 2015, and it will focus on a college campus that has been rocked by a series of murders. Sounds right up Murphy's/Roberts'/Curtis' alley, no?
