Rick Ross Earned Himself A Whole New Fanbase After A Recent Comment

There's one fruit that helps the Bawse stay #RossFit.

When Rick Ross shouted out all of the world’s “pear,” he sent shockwaves through the pear-farming world. USA Pears’ spokesperson Kathy Stephenson recently thanked Ross, MTV’s recent "Bawse For A Day," for his impact.

“On behalf of our 1,600 pear growers from the Northwest region, we are pleased that Rick has mentioned the health benefits of pears,” Stephenson tells Modern Farmer. “Overall, we could not be more pleased with our message being delivered to a new, young and hip demographic.”

Ross emphasized the importance of pears during a May interview with Tim Westwood TV in which he boasted about his sex appeal and new additions to his diet. “I forgot what fruit had tasted like,” he said at the time. “I eat pears now and sh-- like that. Shout out to all the pear!”

The shout out hasn't greatly impacted pear sales yet, but has since become a very important viral craze, which has been re-posted on social networks feverishly.

Ross has even been signing pears for his fans.

Pears are only part of Ross’ fitness plan, of course. There’s a lot more to being #RossFit. Whatever The Bawse's plan truly is, it's working.
