Someone Asked Kris Humphries About Kim Kardashian's Ass... And It Was Awkward
We already know what Kim Kardashian's hubby, Kanye West, thought about her Internet-destroying Paper magazine cover. But, genius, someone thought to ask her previous husband, Washington Wizards power forward Kris Humphries, his opinion on her meme-tastic butt blitz.
And, as you might expect, things got awkward. Super awkward.
During an appearance on D.C.'s 106.7 FM The Fan on Thursday, host Danny Rouhier stumbled over a question in which he tried to get Humphries -- who was married to Kim for 72 days back in 2011 -- to weigh in.
"Yesterday there was like this thing that melted the Internet, and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about; what's that like on a day like yesterday?" he asked Kris. "You go out and play well, and it's awesome—you can put distractions aside —but like, it's a unique position you're in. Are guys giving you a hard time? Or is it just something that's not a big deal at this stage?"
Cue the awkward silence.
"Well, you know," Humphries, 29, said. "I've always been a basketball-first kind of guy, and had a lot of success through everything." Blah, blah, blah, "just basketball... I'm on a team that's winning... we're gonna be in the playoffs," yada yada yada.
All that other stuff? "I don't really pay a lot of attention to."
Damn!
But Rouhier and his co-host, Grant Paulsen, wouldn't let Kris slip away that fast. "Do you just stay off your phone? Or how does that work?" Paulsen pushed.
"I mean, a lot of times I don't even know what's going on," Humphries said. "I'm on ESPN and basketball websites and stuff like that. I'm not someone who's paying attention to things that don't really matter in my world."
Almost got him, but nice dodge, Kris!
Kim wasn't so slippery when asked about her brief, televised nuptials to Humphries in the accompanying Paper interview, though.
"It's just one of those life lessons that you have to learn, and it's OK," she said about her previous marriage.
