One Direction's Louis Tomlinson Blasts Reporter And Denies Alleged Suggestion That He's Gay

Reporter responds, claiming she never commented on Louis' sexuality.

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is not happy about a recent article that he suggests insinuated that he's gay, and he's firing back.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, an article was published in Independent claiming that Louis supported Tim Cook, Apple's CEO who recently confirmed that he was gay, after the 1D member was spotted wearing the company's rainbow-striped Apple logo.

Louis took to Twitter to air his frustrations with the article and call out the writer, Jenn Selby, calling it "laughable" and setting the record straight that he is not gay.

He also claimed that the writer was just looking "for a promotion" for her article.

The original article suspected that Louis may have worn the shirt as a form of support since just last week bandmate Harry Styles caused quite a stir when he said that when it comes to relationships, gender is "not that important."

Based on Louis' remarks, clearly the T-shirt was misinterpreted, but there was no mention of his sexuality in the article, a fact the author was quick to point out.

Selby, who tweeted that she was receiving death threats from Directioners, but did shout out those 1D fans showing her support, went on to say that she was merely speculating and that in no way he should find the article "insulting."

Directioners seem to be divided on the subject, with some supporting the 1D member:

While others are a bit confused by his public rant, in fact, he supposedly lost 20,000 Twitter followers after the comments.

Directioners, what do you think about Louis' statements?
