SpongeBob And Lara Croft Can't Vote, But They Want To Make Sure You Do

They're starring with other video-game characters in a pro-voting music video to be shown on MTV, Spike TV, mtvU and the N.

SpongeBob SquarePants, Tony Hawk and Lara Croft have taken a break from their respective pursuits of working at the Krusty Krab, skateboarding and kicking butt to make sure you vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Along with the stars of "The Sims," "Mortal Kombat," "BloodRayne," "Sonic Heroes," "SSX 3," "Leisure Suit Larry," "Splinter Cell," "Crash Bandicoot" and many more, the trio are featured in "VG Unity: Stand and Choose," a nonpartisan, animated music video featuring more than 50 video-game characters performing as "VG Unity" to encourage young people to get to the polls on November 2.

"Stand and Choose" was written and produced by producer Ross Robinson (Limp Bizkit, Korn, the Cure), while the music video was produced and directed by Tony Shiff (MTV2's "Video Mods").

The clip will premiere on "Total Request Live" and mtvU on October 6 as part of Choose or Lose. From October 6 through October 11, the video can be seen exclusively at Choose or Lose's PRElection site before it is added into rotation on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV.com, Spike TV and the N.
